De-authorise ADE using the Nanaky solution

I need to de-authorise my ADE account as it is linked to a stale e-mail address.  My current Adobe password is not recognised.

I tried to follow the Nanaky solution which appears to be very successful but______

the Registry Editor in Windows Vista appears not to have an 'Export' file in the HKEY-CURRENT-USER\Software|Adobe|Adapt . So I could not complete the process.

Is there an alternative process  using Vista?
