De-authorizing email address on Adobe Digital Editions - password unknown

I no longer have an Hotmail email and my digital editions is tied to this email.  I want to add my current email address but I can't until I de-authorize the old one.  I no longer know the password therefore I can't reset the password.  Can anyone help me?  I've made several attempts with the chat room and they are of no help.
