deleting read books from library

Having used ADE to download from local library for a couple of years now I find having updated to version 4.5 the books which have expired and having deleted them from ADE library, keep coming back. I have un-installed/re-installed ADE programme 3 times without success. Please can anyone help, Thank you

Check Library > Preferences.
