Device not listing in ADE library

Am running Windows 10 on a PC and when I connect an epub reader it does not appear under 'Devices' in the ADE library. so cannot transfer a downloaded book to the reader. I have tried to Authorise the PC again but the server is unavailable. Where do I go from here?
