Device recognised! Now not transferring from PC to Nook

Success, after updating Windows managed to get Nook recognised by ADE.

However now it won't transfer a book form the PC to the Nook.

Have carried out the drag and drop method as described in the 'how to ..' section but, no luck, it does not transfer.

Can read the book on the PC screen but it does not show up on the Nook at all.

(there must be an easier way than this ??)

UPDATE (30minutes later!), Have tried with two versions of ADE, 4.5.1 and 2.0, neither successful!  v4.5.1 transfers but book does not appear on device library. and v2.0 states 'COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book.'

Have finally managed to sort it out.

Downloaded and installed ADE v4.5.1,, authorised my PC.   Then added book to library (from pc).  Closed ADE.   Plugged in NOOK. then started  ADE v4.5.1, ...

    (now the important bit ...)

Authorised the NOOK!.   To do this click the cog wheel shown next to devices, from the drop down select  'authorise device'...done.

Then drag and drop the book to the device.

    eject NOOK from computer,

Check device for transferred content and there it was.   Albeit without a cover, but it was there!

Ain't technology great ... when it works.

PS anybody want to buy a used NOOK?

Same problem for me - cannot drag from my library to my nook - saying copy not allowed.   I've spent way to much time trying to crack this.
