Devices tab not available in 4.5.11 (187425)

Trying to add a KOBO ereader to ADE, despite the device showing in the file menu, it fails to show in the ADE menu.
The guides say to look under Devices tab, but there is no Devices tab, and the menu looks completely different to the screenshots given on the help site.
Using an ACER Chromebook R13 & KOBO N249 ereader.
Can anyone offer any advice as to what I can try next?
