Digital edition doesn't start download

..and once again, I think after every version update.... clicking an acsm-file starts digital edition, but no download starts - empty window... when the hell will this product work like it should?

Any idea here?

    ..just found, that I can movo/drop the acsm-file into the DE-window. DE downloads and then is hanging.... killing the task, the epub is on the disk and I can import it into Calibre. that is all I want, but quite uncomfortable...
