Digital Edition download error

I'm trying to download DE and keep getting an error message "download failed: creating socket" and then nothing happens.  Help?

    Nevermind, I was able to download it through a different website.  weird.

    What is your environment - Windows (XP, Vista, 7...) or Mac (Leopard, Snow

    Leopard, Lion....)?

    Have you obtained an Adobe ID before attempting the download?

    Window's 7 and yes, I've had an Adobe ID for a while.  i had it previously loaded but it was removed on accident and now I'm trying to "reload" it onto my computer.

    Win 7 has some security settings that can mess up the process. Even if

    you've set the firewall to allow you to download from a site, there are

    other settings that prevent you from doing it. I don't have all of the

    details, but I know they've been posted on the Forum. Maybe a search will

    uncover them, or someone else can post them.
