Digital Editions 3.0 not recognising that computer is authorised

Hi

I downloaded Digital Editions 3.0 onto a computer that was already authorised with my Adobe ID.  ADE has not picked up this authorisation and says that the computer is not authorised.  When I try and authroise it via ADE3.0 it has a box for "eBook Vendor" which is greyed out so I cannot insert anything and when I complete the other boxes with my Adobe ID and password it returns an Activation Server Error with the code "E_AUTH_NOT_READY".

Any suggestions?
