Digital Editions authorization

Upgraded to Mac OS Mojave (Macbook Pro); can't read purchased books on Adobe Digital Editions.

I de-authorized the computer, changed my password, restarted ADM, tried to re-authorize the computer; get the message "Activation Service Error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY.

I've tried everything suggested on Adobe's help pages.
