Digital Editions - Authorization Error

This morning I tried to open digital editions on my Mac Book to read some pro tools course books (which I was looking at two weeks ago) and I have received an error message.  I looked through the forums and found some advice to unauthorize my mac and uninstall. Then re-install, re-authorize and redownload the books.  However, I am getting the same message every-time I try to re-authorize.

An Error Had Been Detected.

Activation Server Error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY

Digital Editions encounter an error on the activation server.

To retry, click the Try Again button.

I have digital editions on my iPhone and I can access the books just fine on there... Any ideas?
