Digital Editions ebook problems

I recently downloaded a book for one of my college classes using Adobe Digital Editions. However, when I open it, I am unable to flip pages. To see the next or previous page, I have to exit back out to the library and then reopen the book. How do I fix this?

      I have the same problem but only with my laptop (win 10 home). It works on my desktop pc (win 10 pro) even if much older.
