document can't be opened on kobo

Book is on mac and kobo. when you go to open on kobo you get the following warning:

This document is protected by Adobe Digital rights and is not currently authorized for use with your adobe ID. Please sign in with the authorized adobe and try again.

It works on mac no problem and both mac and kobe are authorized.

Any help is appreciated

Has your try: Try to reset you reader and authorize new with the Adobe ID. Then move again to the reader.?

Thank you. I tried similar steps (and also downgrading to ADE 3, as someone else suggested) and after a couple tries it seems to have worked.
