Document is licensed for a different user account

Two weeks ago, I bought an ebook for adobe digital through Barnes & Noble. It opened just fine. Today, I did the same but get the following message when I try to open it there! "Document is licensed for a different user account" I didn't change anything on either B&N or my Adobe Digital. SO what could the problem be? Any ideas???? I chatted with support - but they had very little knowledge of Adobe Digital Editions....

I'm not sure about your problems but you might try this.... I found out the problem WAS with B&N. They have started using their own eReader......even though I downloaded my eReader from them a while back, if you go to download it now, it downloads a SPECIAL B&N eReader. You can open the books with that. It kept trying to us my Adobe Digital Editions to open them....but if I browse to the B&N reader, it opens right up. So my problem wasn't with Adobe at all! Try that and see if it helps you guys. I frequently use B&N for downloading ebooks....and never heard anything from them about a new special reader for ebooks you buy from them. Good luck!

I have the same problem. Bought a book a while ago and have since upgraded my computer, now running Windows 7. When I installed ADE and activated it, I tried opening the book and it says it's registered to a different user account. I don't think its a B&N problem, I think its an ADE problem.

I've only done this a couple times now and this is only my second time dealing with B&N.  The first time no problems, this time ADE reports "Document is licensed for a different user account", I'm wondering if it's B&N having issues and not us.  As far as I know my user ID in B&N and ADE are the same.  Does anyone know if it's case senitive?
