Does Adobe even support ADE?

I see lots of questions and no answers. I am beyond frustration trying to get a functioning install of ADE on a new WIN10 system. I have tried everything I can find online with searching the various error messages.

I have uninstalled, edited the ADE and ADEPT folders out of the registry, restarted, clean download of the installer, reinstalled; my adobe ID is valid... why is there no support on this? My local librarian is trying valliantly to help.All I want to do is get a book from OVERDRIVE to my old Nook.
