Does not load the digital editions program 4.5.11

Hi mine stopped working a couple of months back and here is what i did to fix it. This might not work for you because my primary motive was to get all of my annotations and shelves back so I could screenshot it and transfer the data to a different epub reader because I've lost faith in ade but it opens/works and I could read them on ade if I wanted to.

1-uninstall ade

2-change the name of the my digital editions folder to old. 

3-reinstall ade I used ade 3.0

4-When installing I didn't checkmark the acsm file one just the shortcuts

5-close ade window

6-COPY your Annot, Manifest, Thumbnails and Tags files to the new adobe digital editions folder.

7-In the new folder Delete anything that says CloudSync

This worked for me it might or might not work for you and what you need.
