download an epub

I have bought an e-pub from a publishing firm.

I can download on pc but it will not open in Adobe Digitla editions, nor travel to my Kobo

I can see it but get told repeatedly cannot open in library view would you like to copy to library.

Copy to library I click.

Nothign happens
