DRM Error--Reader/D.E. 8.1

Cannot open an Ebook purchased Jan. '05 from Amazon.com since upgrading to Adobe Reader/D.E. 8 or with more recent upgrade to Reader/D.E. 8.1.

When trying to add Ebook to D.E. library with Reader 8, received the following error message:

Adobe DRM Error
System: 8
State: 4
Code: 8
Class: 1
Message: VE error 8

After upgrade to Reader 8.1, adding Ebook to library receives error:

Adobe DRM Error
System: 8
State: 4
Class: 65603
Code: 147
Message: VE error 147

Is there a simple solution to this? I'd like to be able to read the Ebook again. Other PDF documents open fine. I will also try emailing to digitaleditions.com as seen posted in other topic replies.

    DRM errors happen for numerous reasons.

    I'd suggest opening a support case and we can analyze the error, plus using the technotes on http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/.
