Hi I have the following error in ADE

E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS

The links all direct to customer services however, they are spectacularly hopeless and after spending several hours on chat to them over several days they keep sending me back to the forum

Does anyone have any solutions to this???

 

Below is from the Adobe Support pages, unfortunately the support team are completely unable to do anything:

Issue

When you launch Adobe Digital Editions, you are asked to authorize the product. Then, the error E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS is displayed, indicating that all the authorizations allowed for Adobe Digital Editions on that machine have been used.

Sometimes, you don't receive the error, but run out of activations after switching machines or replacing hardware.

Solution

If you received the error E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS, or run out of activations, contact us to have the activation count reset.

    Does anyone know if you delete your account whether you can get another one immediately with the same email address and/or would this resolve the issue?
