I bought one book for my kid and it's impossible to open it ... I always receive the same message "Failed to get the license. Communication problems with the license server" 

PLEASE HELP ME! I'm getting crazy with this!!!

Hi,

 

unfortunately I am having the same issue getting the E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_OPEN_ERROR when downloading an ebook. It works downloading it on my ebook reader directly (but also only on the second attempt) but since the font is very small and cannot be changed I would prefer to have it on my computer (Win10).

What I have tried so far after researching:

- re-install Adobe Digital Editions (latest version 4.5.11)

- re-authorize ADE

- run ADE as Admin

- switch of firewall before downloading

- re-download the ebook from the distributor

- try with a different ebook from the same distributor

- try it on a different computer, using the same Adobe ID

 

Unfortunately none of this worked out, but maybe you can have a try @Alicia5CD8 , would be interesting if any of this works for you.

 

Since the ebook is working on my ebook reader, I assume the problem cannot be with my ID or the ebook itself.

 

Anybody else here who got an idea what else to try? Would be grat since all other posts about this issue are quite old already.
