E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN

I purchased a medical ebook from Elsevier. It is SUPOSSED to open on adobe digital editions 2 authorized.  I have wasted 2 weeks trying to get a new code from Elsevier and support from Adobe.

The money was paid.  The book - a fantasy.  To this date I suggest not purchasing these books.  No one as I see from earlier posts, can solve this problem.  The software is protected from thieves, but also from buyers!!!!  If anyone has a solution please let me know and I will gladly retract my suggestion.
