E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED

Unable to download an ebook to Adobe Digital Editions. Unfortunaltey, Adobe virtual assistants can't help and the sites recommendations did not work. I am getting "E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED" and have tried everything. Not sure what to do now. Tried to call Adobe also and apparently digital editions isn't something they can help with over the phone either. Help please?? I've uninstalled and re-installed, checked time and date settings, authorized and de-authorized. I'm seeing a lot of the same responses on here. I need some real help resolving this issue!
