E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED error

When you I try to download a book to Adobe Digital Editions I receive the following error:

Unable to Download.
Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem.
E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED

The online solution for this was for when this happens during activation which is not the case with me. I have successfully downloaded books for the last 6 months. This is for the 6th one of a series and the first time I have this error.

I checked the time and date anyways but it did not help.

Tried the usual restarts etc but that didn't help either, I can't return the book and try getting it again as I don't have that option.

Can anyone help please?
