E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR

gettting this error:

Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:

E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR

I have now followed the instructions from a few articles.  uninstall , reauthorise etc.

i do the install on Apple Macbook Tahoe 26.1

Authorise the application with my adobe id
login to adobe and download the sample ebook .   but it always gives this message.
i dont run a firewall and have tried with bitdefender disabled.  

Any ideas what i can check ?
