E License already fulfilled by another user

I have downloaded Adobe Digital Reader to open an e-book I purchased. I repeatedly get the error message: "Unable to download. Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER.  What does this mean, and how can I fix it?
