E_STREAM_ERROR CURL returned 60 (3C) during authorization/deauthorization in ADE

Hi,
I’m encountering a consistent error when trying to authorize or deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). The error is: E_STREAM_ERROR CURL returned 60 (3C)

It seems to be related to an SSL certificate issue — possibly that ADE cannot verify the server certificate when connecting to Adobe’s authorization servers.

Here’s what I’ve tried:

  • Reinstalled ADE (latest version)

  • Verified that system date and time are correct

  • Switched between multiple Wi-Fi networks (no proxy or VPN)

  • Disabled firewall/antivirus temporarily

  • OS and root certificates are up to date

Still, the error persists, and I’m unable to either authorize with my Adobe ID or deauthorize the device.

Could this be an issue on Adobe’s server (e.g. invalid or expired SSL certificate)?
Is there a workaround to bypass this for now or any ETA on a fix?

Thank you in advance!

Well, turns out Digital Editions is an "end of line" product so won't get any help updates; pro verbatim customer service. They told me that you could get an answer in  2 - 5 days though, so maybe we can pray!
