eBook document is licensed for a different user account - How can I fix?

Recently, my hard drive crashed and I lost all Program Files.  I restored the Adobe Digital Editions ebooks after I installed the program.  I had to create a new Adobe ID, since the original one used an old email account that was closed years ago, to setup a sign in id.  Now I am receiving permissions error "The document is licensed for a different user account." How can I change/update so I can access the 260+ ebooks?
