eBook does not appear in ADE

I have a PC.  The eBook that I borrowed does not appear in any of the Adobe Digital Edition bookshelves.  What steps can I take from here?  Thanks.

    How you try to open the eBook?

    I selected the Download ebook button.

    Then the Adobe Digital bookshelves popped up but when I checked them, there was no book in any of the bookshelves!  Where is the book; why is it not there?
