Ebook only showing first page of chapters

I have a Mac, and the ebook that I downloaded is only showing the first page of the chapters, and sometimes not even the first page of some chapters.

I've tried re-downloading the ebook, and re-installing Adobe Digital Editions. Both have let to the same results.
