eBooks registered on Adobe ID no longer accessible due to Adobe ID deletion

Hello Adobe,

I ran into an issue while trying to access my Avid eBooks. It seems Adobe Digital Editions doesn't allow me to open these .acsm files on a different adobe ID from the one I used to open them on the first time. The problem is, I deleted that adobe ID a while ago and I can no longer authorize my devices with those credentials. This solution does not work (https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/reactivate-adobe-account.html). I tried creating a new adobe ID with the same e-mail address (this one if visible) and log in with those credentials in the hope that the eBooks are somehow tied to the e-mail address of that old adobe ID instead of some unique identifier that old adobe ID had. Of course, this solution did not work either. Whenever I try to open the .acsm files from Avid, it tells me that the license for those eBooks is fulfilled by another user. Am I doomed to pay 200 dollars for these eBooks again (greedy Avid won't consider a refund or a new set of eBooks) or is there a way to redeem my deleted old adobe ID and eBooks?
