Ebooks suddenly disappear

All ebooks I had from both my kobo device AND the ADE library have suddenly disappeared. The different bookshelves on the lefthand side of ADE is also gone. I tried uninstalling and installing it again, it didnt work. I tried to add my books to the library again, and it gave me a message saying that I cannot add these books to the library because they've already been added.

Any suggestions?

    Try this. Rename the Digital Edition Folder in your Documents and open Digital Edition again. Now try to download a eBook.
