Error - Check Activation

When trying to download library books to my Kobo, I am getting an error message within Adobe Digital Editions that says "Error! Check Activation".  Anyone know how to do that?

    ‌I bought a new computer.  Downloaded ADE 4.5    i contacted my Library  They told me to uninstall and download ADE3.0.  They said to borrow a book I had not tried to put on the 4.5 I did this and it works.  Apparently for some reason people are having problems with the 4.5

    ‌Thank you so much. I was ready to give up on borrowing library books on my kobo but you saved me. Thank you. I'm going to let my library know they should give everyone this tip.
