Error! Check Activation

I am trying to download an ebook from a library (which uses Overdrive.)  I keep getting this error:  Error! Check Activation.  I can download a book from Adobe's sample ebook library, just not from my library.  Any ideas?

    I think I have solved my problem!

    I did this by (in each user account on the laptop concerned):

    Erasing the authorization

    Authorizing the computer again

    Perhaps you could try this?

    I tried to erase the authorization, but it tells me it is unable to erase it and that I should try again after some time.  I tried this morning around 8:30am and just now at 5:20pm.  There must be something else going on.

    Hi,

    I uninstalled it from laptop and installed it again then I deauthorized it and then authorized, it worked:)

    I had a couple of different error messages, when trying to download library books.

    Trying to solve them without assistance, I upgraded my Digital Editions from Version 2.?.? to Version 4.5.3.162045.  Now I have the error message!  "Error! Check activation."  Is this progress?

    I have seen references in other threads to Authorize / Authorization.  Are Activation and Authorization the same thing, or different?

    Update:  I have tried to download books from Adobe's sample ebook library.  A couple worked, but most did not.

    Those that worked all had links in the form,   "http://contentserver.adobe.com/store/books/...  ....epub"

    Those that failed all had links in the form, "http://contentserver.adobe.com/fulfillment/URLLink.acsm?action=free&ordersource=operator&resid=urn%3Auuid%3A723caf6a-0e27-44be-8733-904cede39cd2"

    Hope that helps a little.
