Error getting license. License server communication problem: E_ AUTH BAD DEVICE KEY

I've downloaded countless digital books to my Mac with no problem but am now getting this message. I've tried removing and reinstalling Adobe Digital Editions, using different browsers, different books, I've talked to my local library and everything is normal on their end. I haven't made any recent changes to my computer.
