Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER

Error message - 'Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER', when loading an ebook from KOBO into Adobe Digital Editions. I have followed all of the advise online and no luck.

The first time I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions, the authorisation process was not exactly done correctly. When i realised this I started over and followed the instructions precisely, but now i have this error message continually.

during my fun time figuring this out I have, deleted and re-installed the software twice, reauthorised and de-authorised many times, and removed the activation.dat. Even had KOBO delete ebook from account, reset our account and load a new ebook in an attempt to get something to work.

Anu ideas where I am going wrong?
