Error mesage

I have been using Adobe digital editions to download books from my library for years and then transferring them to a kobo reader. Today I tried to download some books but got the message 

E-LIC-SIGN-ERROR. I have tried rebooting the pc and uninstalling and installing digital editions but still get this message. If I click on help it says my pc is authorised. Can anyone help.
