ERROR MESSAGE

When I try to open a downloaded ebook to read in Adobe  Acrobat Reader 2 I get an error msg:

ERROR: License Server Communication Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR.  I've tried everything I know of to fix

this. Nothing works. My next option is to restore my pc to a factory reset and just start all over.  HELP!

P.S.  I've uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it.  I've de-authorized it and re-authorized it. I've run a malware program,

a program to clean up all the junk and of course, my anti-virus program.
