Error Msg E_Adept_Documnet_Too_Short

When trying to "open" for downloading to my Nook I get a msg "Unable to Download; Error getting license, License server communication problem" then subject error msg followed by another error msg "Editions 4.0 stopped working"

Ideas on how to fix this?

The reason is, Book fulfillment is complete but the book contains less that 4 bytes data so that it can not be detected as a valid file.

Any idea of how to fix the issue. It occurs with both books I tested it on. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall ADE and Adobe?
