Error Opening Digital Editions Files

Dear Community, 

Please, I need your kind assistance - whenever I tried to open my Adobe Digital Edition file, I get the prompt message " There was an error opening the document. The security plug-in required by this command is NOT available".

Please, I need assistance on how to resolve this issue.
