Failed to write destination file

I keep trying to download on my NOOK but I continually get the error "failed to write destination file".  I have uninstalled & reinstalled Digital Editions.  I have plenty of storage space on my NOOK.  Any other suggestions or is it my NOOK that is the problem?  It is almost 3 years old.
