File Format Error

I have downloaded, installed and authorised ADE V 4.0.2.103411, and authorised my e-reader. I have downloaded an e-book, opened it in ADE, and I can read it there. I try to move it to my e-reader, it transfers ok, but when I try to open it on the e-reader I get "File Format Error". Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong please?
