Fresh Download won't install properly

Having issues with an older kobo and tried downloading ADE 3.0. I have deauthorized the kobo and the computer and uninstalled all other versions. But now, when I install ADE 3.0, none of the standard bookshelves show up and whenever I try to click on my Kobo, the program shuts down. Is there an issue with 3.0 or is there a work around?
