Getting the Digital Editins working

I purchased a book thru Books-a-Million (BAM) and it is an ebook.  They told me to get the Adobe Ditgital Editions.  They were no help.  At all.  I have the book downloaded from BAM but I have to use ADE? to open it.  I am staring at the page that says "How to convert ADE to PDF."  Can someone tell me what I am supposed to be doing with this?  It is showing ADE installer and converter in my downloads.  Adobe will not help, either.  I had six chats with BAM and Adobe.... I am on an iPad. About 1 year old.
