help downloading books!

I have been downloading books from my public library for the past 6 months onto my kobo Glo with no problems. This week, it does not seem to be working! The books icon will appear in adobe digital editions, but it will not let me open the book, drag the book into my ereader, or click on any of the tabs in adobe digital editions after this point. I have reset my kobo, along with reinstalling adobe digital editions. I am using windows 8 and am still able to download books from the kobo store. Any ideas on what I can do next?
