HELP with authorization

I am trying to authorize my computer and Samsung Nook in Adobe Digital Editions.  In two different chat sessions, I got sent here for the answer, but don't know where to find it.  Can anybody point me in the right direction?

I am incredibly frustrated

    Are you having problems with figuring out how to activate, or is the activation process itself failing for you? If the activation process is failing, can you please provide the error you are receiving.

    I get a reply of Activation Server Error  code: E_AUTH_NOT_READY

    I have double checked my adobe ID and password.  They are both working.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have not found any answers on line nor a way to talk to an actual human being at Adobe...

    It sounds to me like your authorization may have become damaged or corrupt. I would suggest following the steps outlined on

    if you haven't already. I know a number of other people have had success in solving that particular error with the steps outlined there.
