Hey,  i bought a book yesterday from KOBO and I am ahving a hard time putting the book on my Nextbook with Adobe Digital Edition free.

The rpompt says:

Adobe Reader could not open URL Link 11.acsm because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged( for example, it was sent as an email attatahment and wasn't correctly decoded)

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the e book I bought from my computer to my Nextbook?  I have Windows 7 on my computer.

You're getting an error message from Adobe Reader, not Digital Editions.

The most likely reason is that you downloaded Reader, thinking it was

Digital Editions, and Reader does not use the file type that Digital

Editions does to download ebooks.

I looked and it said Adobe Digital Edition. I am using Windows 7 now and when I had Windows xp I was able to download my ebooks.  Do you think that has anything to do with it?

Sorry - Digital Editions does not give you that error message. There's

nothing I can suggest in Digital Editions that will help fix an Adobe

Reader issue.

Regarding ADE and Windows 7. There have been many problems with Win 7

security and ADE. Try doing a search on this site for Windows 7 and see if

the posts can help you.
