Highligt crashing

ADE has gradually gotten worse with the program crashing when making "highlights".
Before it was once in a while, but now it crashes contanstly.

I'm not going to go into details with what I've tried (since this has had this behaviour since day one).
Newly installed windows 10 with everything up-to-date.

If not, then is there a way to export the highlight and use it with another reader program?

In all honesty, I'm wiriting this as a way to vent my anger and frustration with this program (That I have used for about 3 weeks) and it's beyond garbage.
