How can I get a pc authorized for adobe digital editions after having to reload the ADE software?

I recently had to wipe my PC clean and reinstall the adobe digital edition software to be able to download books from Kobo to my Sony reader (it is not wireless).  However, now I cannot get the pc 'authorized' because my email address or password is incorrect.  I set up an new account, but I still get the same error message.  Anyone know how I cna get  it authourized so I can download books?
