how can i get my android device detected on ADE? it should appear on the Left side column as i am adviced but it still cant

Hi, am trying to transfer my ebook to my android device which I have already installed Mantano reader. I have connected my Phone via USB but still ADE wont detect it. Kindly help

    I have installed the app and even tried to copy paste the ebook to the phone. I tried to activate the reader but still the ebook wont open. So I tried again to connect my phone via USB hoping that ADE should detect it when I launch it so that I can drag the ebook to the device.But ADE wont detect my device. Please advise me
