How do I change the password to my ADE account if the email address associated to the account no longer exist?

I forgot my password to my ADE account and the email associated to the account no longer exist.  My attempt to recover my password was futile as a link was sent to the email address that was no longer existing.  I was then forced to create a new account.  However, when I was downloading my book using the new account, it was prompting me to add the new account to the old account in order to authorize the new account as the application was originally downloaded with a different user account or Adobe ID.
